English Language Challenges

 

Hello everyone! The first time I took an English class in college was when I took English III last semester and so now I was able to be in English IV. The truth is that this semester has been a bomb of responsibilities and homework about college stuff and I personally haven't managed to enjoy it as much as I enjoyed English III, since, while attending classes I was also making progress on assignments for other subjects.

 To tell the truth the blogs are fun to do, but sometimes I ended up so tired on Fridays, that I didn't feel like doing anything and just wanted to sleep, that's why I always did them late on Saturday morning.

 As for the language, I need and want to keep learning, for me and for my career, be it vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, expressions, etc. For this reason, I have already taken an English course outside the university, which I am already doing. This will make it much easier for me to speak, write and search for information in English. 

 Well, what I would most like to learn is to speak fluently, but it is difficult for me to practice it, I think the times I have managed to improvise my English in Chile have been counted with my hands, in which have been people who approach me speaking English immediately, assuming that one is bilingual hahaha, but I must say that I have managed to defend myself and make myself understood, and of course I could help them.

 

Changes to my study programme

 Hi everyone!

This topic is about my career which is agriculture in which I am in the 3rd year that contains different subjects such as Crops, Fruit trees, Pests and Diseases, Natural Resources and laboratory and field practices, this is closely related to the consumption and production of food, the requirements and development of a crop, social and environmental awareness.

In my opinion if I had to change something in the program of the career it would be the amount of subjects that are taught, I consider that many subjects could be easily mixed and transformed into one making the career last much less years, for example Fruit trees I and Fruit trees II many times the professors spoke the same topics with the same approach, being able to have them mixed and teach it only one semester. In addition, I would incorporate field practices immediately from the first year, so that we experience from the beginning the work we will face after becoming professionals.

On the other hand, I would have liked that the program of my career would have added English and Portuguese, I think that learning languages considered as the most important in the working world is a great tool for my profession, sometimes knowing this opens many more doors than being an expert in what you studied.  But as far as I know now the new generations at least already have English, and I am glad about that, although I think they have taken a long time to incorporate it into the program, but better late than never.

Time travel in the future

 Hi everyone!

I remember very well that when I was in high school, I was always thinking about what the period I was going to be in as a college student, and you might call me crazy, but I always had the feeling that something was going to happen, something that was going to affect us, and that it was going to be an unusual period, but I never thought that it was going to be because of the social stagnation and the pandemic.

To tell you the truth, it gives me a little anxiety to keep thinking about my future and creating possible situations in what could happen, because sometimes I imagine things that are not very hopeful, and I don't want them to come true.

However, if I have the possibility to travel to the future, I would like to visit the year 2033, you ask why, because I love everything that deals with astronomy, and in that year Alissa Carson will be the first human to make a trip to Mars, and if everything goes well I believe that this mission will last at least 2 years. After experiencing that I would go back to my life, I would not even go to see me to know what I am doing in that time because I prefer to continue enjoying my family and continue building my future without losing hope.

A greeting for our dreams to come true

 When I had to apply for a career I was not sure of anything, the only thing that was clear to me was that I wanted a future in which I saw myself working outdoors. One day my parents suggested me to study agriculture, which had several of the characteristics I was looking for in a career, so I thought about it and took it.

 I must confess that it was hard for me to fall in love with the career, but as the years went by and I began to understand all that we have to fix in the world, it was what motivated me to continue studying.

 Because of what I said before, I would like in the future to teach about the impact that conventional agriculture has on our environment, and teach them the variety of systems that can be done having better productive results and without having a negative impact, as well as the importance of each family to be self-sustaining with food through urban gardens in their homes.

 Other things I would like to be in the future is to be the creator of a natural product, as well as a sommelier and go tasting wines all over the world.

A funny or important moment of your childhood

 When the teacher gave us a choice between one topic or another, I chose this one, and at the time I remember I had quite a few stories to tell, but I don't know what happened that right now I don't remember any, so I had to ask my parents to tell me one.

 This story happened when I was 3 years old. At that time I had straight hair and wore it above my shoulders and with bangs. One day my mother gave me a bath with the intention that she could easily cut my hair later. After the bath she left the room for a moment, leaving the scissors at my disposal, so I got down to work and decided to cut my bangs. After what happened my mother wanted to die. The funniest thing was that she wanted to fix the situation leaving me a one centimeter fringe that looked like Lord Farquaad or the mushroom from the Mario Bross game. Imagine that haircut, my toad waist from all the juice I drank and adding that I had legs like wool, I just tell you that my family called me guarisapo. I just hope I have evolved.

Hobbies

 Hello everyone!

Before the pandemic situation I wanted to come back to bike world, but I didn’t have the best bike because my last bike was broke. So my dad gave me a new bike and I love it because that was the perfect model for me. I was very happy because the gift was unspected and I wanted to ride a bike again. But, few weeks after, the pandemic situation turn it dangerous again and I couldn’t ride a bike for a long time.

When the quarantine was over I could enjoy the bike again. Usually I go to San Cristobal with my dad, who introduced me to the bike world.

I am so happy when I ride because I feel the wind in my face and that is the most satisfactory sensation in the whole world.

Another activity that a I love is watch movies with my family, is a very special momeno for us because that bring happiness. I prefer the horror movies, but my family enjoy the comedy movies.

The important thing is that my family love to stay with me and I love to stay whit them.

 

The best concert I've been to

When I was younger all my friends liked to watch things on the Disney channel except me, but everything changed when my parents decided to install a plan in which I could watch that channel and much more, then I became one more like my friends ...

I started to see a lot Hannah Montana the series in which the singer Miley Cyrus acted and I became obsessed with her songs.

In 2014 I found out from my friend Pau that Miley would perform a concert at the Movistar Arena in October, she already had the tickets so we decided to go "together", well she was in another area of ​​the concert, so I literally enjoyed the concert being alone. It was very crazy because there were inflated condoms floating all over the Movistar😂. To be honest I expected more from the show but it was still exciting to sing the songs with all my being. Unfortunately I don't have any photos or videos of that day.
