It was quite difficult to choose a photo because there are so many important moments that I have lived and captured where it would be beautiful to remember.
I must confess that I have good intentions to take good
photos but actually I lack the talent for that.
This photo was taken on the 27th August 2017. That year my
cousin invited me to be part of the Notting Hill Carnival with her group in
which we had to wear costumes, makeup, in addition to singing and dancing.
Our group's big motive in the parade was to demand justice
for the people who were badly affected by the fierce fire at Greenfell Tower on the 14th June 2017.
It was a really beautiful and at the same time exhausting
experience in which we paraded all day in the middle of summer.
It was the first time that I participated in a carnival. An
experience that I would love to repeat.
